A substantial piece of the Golden Gate Bridge for your bookshelf.
This bookend is handcrafted from the handrail cap - the steel that ran along the top of the original Golden Gate Bridge pedestrian handrail installed in 1937 and removed in 1993.
Each piece is brushed clean of debris and rough edges, then left with its natural patina or given a fresh coat of International Orange, the official color of the Golden Gate Bridge.
Some pieces retain characteristic weathering from decades of exposure to the ocean wind and salt air of the Golden Gate, making each bookend a unique piece of San Francisco history.
Measures approximately 5 x 5 x 5 inches. Weighs approximately 4-lbs.
